A number of my friends did as I did on Saturday night go to La MaMa to be regaled by the gorgeous talent of the best living monologist in the world ( ok he is mine ..line up your choices) . His name is David Cale and he is well known in the theater community and to directors like Woody Allen. He has appeared in films and numerous TV shows ( multiple Law And Orders), He is most alive in his theatrical solo performances
La MaMA's Curator at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club Nicky Paraiso asked David to reprise his Bessie award winning solo performance DEEP IN THE DREAM OF YOU in honor of the publishing of SHOWS four monologues written and performed by David Cale. SHOWS by David Cale the book His masterful recreation of the award winning performance took the audience on sultry journey of gender bending and erotic memory that manage to create an atmosphere of heavy breathing, tissue demanding tears and spontaneous laughter.
