Noted Music curator and new music and opera composer, Nick Hallet honors the first gay teen America ever met when PBS aired the LOUD FAMILY reality show in the early '70's . Lance Loud moved to New York (and into my building on Waverly Place for a time) formed a band with Kristian Hoffman called the Mumps and was a signature act in Mickey Ruskin's Max's Kansas City . They played regularly upstairs in the live music room and Lance twinkled his way into Andy's lair ..the back room of Max's. Here Nick sings a MUMPS song at the Earl Dax hosted Weimar Cabaret night at Joe's Pub.. thank you Nick, thank you Earl, thank you Kristen, Thank you Lance
