I remember booking at HURRAH this musician with Peter Frampton chops and caravaggio beauty, I listen to the album send to me and fell in love with the boy on the cover.. ...When Bullens arrived all rock'n'roll looking and sounding for the sound check I discovered that he was a she  How I did not realize that when I booked Cindy Bullens is between me and my shrink.  Bullens turned out to be the reel deal musically and we have been friends since. Through the ups and downs of both our lives. . Bullens made for me one of the great rock-n-roll albums with anthems for days ,, think Bruce . and very personal . SOMEWHERE BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH  (listen on spotify .. or better yet  (because the sonics are so oo much better ) . I will let you know when Cid hits town ,,OH it's Portland Maine, not Oregon

Let's start by acknowledging the truth : biological women have been hit upon and sexually harassed by individuals self identified as "trans" in bathrooms identified as "Ladies(!) room" . Please do your research before making sweeping definitive statement. It certainly is not the norm. NOT the norm but has and will happen. Steroids and hormones affect individuals differently . As does self-medication (street) opposed to health care provided dosages. Also natural vs synthetic ... dumbing down complicated issue to politically correct position helps no one and does not build common ground based on mutual respect and safety . . The bathroom use issue is quite different from the locker room issue in my view. . I will admit I worry about a self-identified trans-man in a male locker room. I remember well being mocked , ridiculed and sometimes beaten up for being a "fag" in such environments. Note: when I ran Danceteria all my bathrooms were gender neutral. Some were single use and some large enough to become social scenes themselves. and that was 30 years ago ... a stall is a stal is a stall ... and no I do not support homophobic and transphobic laws .. I do support this kind of bathroom and would like to hear more input from people who use locker rooms and not just activists and lawyers .

This is so fucked up...first these trans bullies beat up lesbians who want to have a bio women only music fest...instead of having their own fest .and now these self named "women" turn their bullyclubs on gay men who have fun challenging the restricted gender expression rules policed by boring het and het wanna bes...I know this campaign does not reflect the attitude of my trans friends. I. know I not being politically correct but fuck it I will not let this small gang of trans people destroy my homo queer culture...it does not mean you have to be into drag to defend its gender politics importance in attacking homophobia and constructed masculinity ...I have felt their bully anger and fire and lies personally. .I do suggest there is a way to respect individuals choice in gender expression and all its ramifications...but to cave into the fringe madness of so called trans activism ..no no no ..the Drag March here like the Trans March and the DYKE March have picked up the baton of radical vision that Gay Inc fears...no we are not just like you ..and many of us don't want to be. ....anyone ever hear of genderqueer ..that is what I identify with..... ask me why in private ..and for the record i am not afraid to call out any one regardless of they gender expression if I feel their act or presentation is racist, classist or sexist ... period.
